Our Story
NIBM Tower Cranes was founded in 1996 with a simple mission: to provide reliable, high-quality tower cranes and exceptional service to the construction industry. NIBM TC was created from NIBM Crane and Lift Technology, which had been a Potain importer in the Netherlands and Belgium for 45 years.
Over the past 29 years, we have built a reputation for reliability, technical and customer-focused service. Our understanding of construction projects and their unique challenges has allowed us to develop a comprehensive approach that covers all aspects of tower crane usage.
Today, NIBM Tower Cranes proudly serves a diverse clientele, from small construction firms to large multinational companies, providing them with the right tower cranes and expertise they need to complete their construction projects safely and efficiently.

Meet the Founder
Egidius (Gid) Gehlen
CEO & Founder
With nearly 40 years of experience in the construction and crane industry, Egidius (Gid) Gehlen began his career in 1986 as Sales Manager at NIBM bouw en wegenbouw machines. His career progression included roles as Branch Head, Managing Director, and Vice President of NIBM Kraan en Lifttechniek, which was the Potain importer for the Netherlands and Belgium for 45 years.
From 1998 to 2013, he served as President and 50% shareholder of NIBM Verenigde Bedrijven Group, overseeing multiple companies including Toyota industrial equipment, Herrenknecht tunneling equipment Benelux, and crane technology. After representing NFT LLC in Europe (2013-2015), he became Managing Director of NIBM Towercranes BV in 2016, bringing his extensive technical knowledge and commitment to customer satisfaction to tower crane solutions.
